New Delhi, February 25, 2025: The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has reported a ₹2,000 crore revenue loss due to irregularities in the AAP government’s now-scrapped liquor policy. The report, presented in the Delhi Assembly, highlights discrepancies in revenue collection and alleged undue benefits to private liquor vendors, sparking political backlash.
Opposition parties, including BJP and Congress, have called for an investigation, accusing AAP of financial mismanagement and corruption. AAP, however, has dismissed the allegations as politically motivated. With legal scrutiny already in place, the report adds further pressure on the party ahead of elections.
