
Patna, May 22, 2025 – The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is preparing to conduct the Bihar Special School Teacher Eligibility Test (BSSTET) for 7,279 vacancies aimed at recruiting special teachers for students with special needs. The exam will have two papers: Paper 1 for classes 1 to 5 with 5,534 vacancies, and Paper 2 for classes 6 to 8 with 1,745 vacancies. The official exam date is yet to be announced, with the notification expected soon.
Eligibility criteria require candidates for classes 1 to 5 to have at least 50% in class 12 and a diploma or degree in Special Education, while candidates for classes 6 to 8 need a bachelor’s degree plus a B.Ed in Special Education. The exam will feature 150 multiple-choice questions, lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes, and there will be no negative marking.
