Mumbai, February 4, 2025 – The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has proposed a Rs 74,427.41 crore budget for the fiscal year 2025-26, a 14.19% increase from the previous year. The budget focuses on infrastructure development, healthcare, education, and urban planning, with priorities in water supply, sanitation, and transport. It also aims to boost green initiatives and improve public services across the city.
