Kolkata, West Bengal, April 15, 2025: West Bengal BJP chief Sukanta Majumdar has written to Governor C.V. Ananda Bose, raising concerns over alleged attacks on Hindus during the recent violence linked to the Waqf Act 2025 protests in Murshidabad. He claimed that the community has been unfairly targeted amid the unrest.
Majumdar urged the Governor to intervene and ensure the safety of affected citizens, accusing the state government of failing to maintain order. His letter has added a political edge to the ongoing debate surrounding the Waqf Act and the handling of communal tensions in the state.
