New Delhi, December 14, 2024 – In a scathing remark, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP) Ravi Shankar Prasad has advised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to “do some homework and change his tutor,” following the latter’s controversial statements on national security and economic issues in recent public appearances. Prasad, known for his sharp political commentary, criticized Gandhi for making remarks that he believed lacked depth and understanding of critical governance issues.
During a press conference, Prasad responded to Gandhi’s criticisms of the government’s policies, particularly on national security and economic growth. He stated that the Congress leader’s comments suggested a disconnect from reality and the complex challenges faced by the country. Prasad urged Gandhi to invest more time in studying these matters and to reconsider his advisers or “tutors” to improve his grasp of national and global affairs.
This latest exchange between the BJP and Congress has further intensified the political discourse as the country approaches the next general election. While BJP supporters backed Prasad’s statements, Congress members defended Gandhi, accusing the ruling party of focusing on personal attacks rather than addressing policy concerns. Gandhi’s team, however, has consistently raised alarms about the government’s handling of economic disparity, unemployment, and the state of democracy in India.
