Jogighopa, April 19, 2025: The King of Bhutan, His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, visited the Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) and Inland Water Transport (IWT) terminal in Jogighopa, Assam, accompanied by officials from the Government of Assam and NHIDCL. The visit highlighted the terminal’s crucial role in enhancing India-Bhutan connectivity.
Located 91 km from Gelephu, Bhutan, the Jogighopa terminal is vital for improving bilateral trade between the two nations. Its development is expected to facilitate smoother trade flows and strengthen economic ties, benefiting both countries and enhancing regional connectivity.
