New Delhi ,January 2, 2025: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) has announced the winners of the prestigious National Sports Awards for 2024. Among the top honors, ace shooter Manu Bhaker, chess grandmaster D Gukesh, and Indian men’s hockey team captain Harmanpreet Singh have been conferred with the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award, the highest sporting honor in India.
Manu Bhaker’s exceptional performances in shooting have earned her national and international recognition, marking her as one of India’s brightest talents. D Gukesh, who has been making waves in the global chess scene, continues to bring pride to the country with his remarkable achievements, establishing himself as one of the world’s top players. In addition to the Khel Ratna Awards, several athletes were honored with Arjuna Awards and Dronacharya Awards.
