    Bhadrachalam Temple to Host Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Kalyanam on April 6, 2025

    BHADRACHALAM: The Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Kalyanam (marriage ceremony) at Bhadrachalam Temple will be held on April 6th, 2025, in conjunction with Sri Rama Navami celebrations. As per tradition, the event will include the arrival of the Muthyala Talambra (a ritualistic offering) and silk garments brought by the Chief Minister. On that day, the Chandra Prabha Vahanam procession will take place, showcasing the divine procession of Lord Rama. Devotees will also receive the sacred Sri Rama Deeksha (initiation). Additionally, a special Maha Pattabhishekam (coronation) ceremony will be held on April 7th, marking the annual event.

    The 2025 annual calendar for the Bhadrachalam temple was unveiled by the temple’s CEO, Ramadevi, and the chief priest, Vijayraghavan, on Wednesday at the temple premises. A total of 10,000 calendars have been printed, priced at Rs 120 each. These calendars include details of major festivals and special events at the Ramalayam, along with images of the deity’s celebrations and idols from related temples. Additionally, a Ramalayam Diary priced at Rs 75 was also launched.

    Key events scheduled for 2025 include the Boat Festival (Teppo Utsavam) on January 9th on the Godavari River, and the North Gate Darshan pujas on January 10th during Mukkoti Ekadasi. The Sri Bhakta Ramadasu 392nd Jayanti Celebrations, along with Vaggeyakara Utsavams, will be held from February 1st to 5th. In March, the sacred yellow garlands will be crushed, and the Tiru Kalyana Talambra rituals will be performed. On March 30th, Ugadi celebrations will take place, followed by the Sri Rama Navami Kalyana Brahmotsavams starting the next day.

    Other significant events include the Flag Hoisting (Dhvaja Patra Lekhanam) on April 2nd, Garuda Vahanam on April 3rd, and the Fire Rituals (Agni Pratishtha) on April 4th. April 5th will feature the ceremonial procession (Edurukolu), and on April 8th, the Sadashyam (feast) will be held, followed by the Chakrateertham ritual on April 12th. The Hanuman Jayanti celebration will take place on May 22nd.
