BJP Member of Parliament Manoj Tiwari has lashed out at Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, accusing her of being a mere puppet under the control of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal. The remarks came during a press conference where Tiwari alleged that Atishi’s leadership lacked the autonomy necessary for a position of authority.
“CM Atishi is nothing more than a puppet of Kejriwal, whose decisions and policies are dictated from behind the scenes. She doesn’t act with her own vision but follows the directions given by Kejriwal,” Tiwari stated, pointing to recent decisions made by Atishi’s administration.
Tiwari further criticized Atishi for failing to address key issues in the city, claiming that her leadership had been ineffective in improving the city’s infrastructure, healthcare, and education sectors. “The people of Delhi are suffering, but instead of taking charge, Atishi is merely executing Kejriwal’s agenda,” he added.
The BJP MP’s comments are expected to fuel the ongoing political rivalry between the AAP and BJP, with both parties already at odds over governance and policy differences in Delhi. Atishi, who has served as Delhi’s Education Minister and is now in charge of the Chief Minister’s office, has not yet responded to Tiwari’s allegations.
AAP spokespersons have, however, strongly refuted the claims, stating that Atishi is a competent and independent leader who has made significant contributions to Delhi’s development under Kejriwal’s guidance.
The political battle continues to intensify as Delhi prepares for upcoming elections, with both the AAP and BJP vying for influence in the city.
