Guwahati, February 15, 2025: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has sharply criticized Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi for questioning the integrity of India’s intelligence agencies. Sarma raised concerns about Gogoi’s remarks linking the Indian Intelligence Service (ISI) and the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), accusing the opposition of conflicting views on national security. He warned that such statements undermine the credibility of these agencies.
In his speech in Guwahati, Sarma stressed the importance of national security and the role of intelligence agencies in safeguarding the country. He called on the Congress party to clarify its stance, warning that Gogoi’s comments could create confusion about the government’s dedication to protecting India’s sovereignty.
