
Guwahati, February 14 – The Assam Cabinet has decided to initiate an investigation into the alleged ties of a Member of Parliament (MP) to national security threats. The probe, set to begin on February 16, comes in response to reports that have raised concerns about the MP’s connections to individuals or groups that may pose a risk to the security of the country.
Assam’s Chief Minister confirmed that the investigation will be thorough and transparent, with all relevant agencies involved to uncover the truth behind the allegations. The state government has made it clear that national security is of utmost importance, and any individual found compromising it will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.
