The move is expected to benefit the retail, hospitality, and service sectors by allowing businesses to operate round the clock.
The government has assured that labor laws and safety measures will be enforced to protect workers’ rights. Officials stated that this decision aligns with Assam’s broader economic strategy and will improve the business environment in these cities.
