Amaravati, May 30, 2025 – Errors in the evaluation of Class 10 and Intermediate public exams in Andhra Pradesh are causing mental distress among students. Due to the rush to release results, evaluators are reportedly making mistakes in marking and totaling. These issues often come to light only after students apply for recounting or reverification, by which time many face confusion about whether to prepare for supplementary exams or wait for revised results.
Notable cases include students like Mokshita from YSR Kadapa, whose Social Studies marks increased from 21 to 84 after reverification, and Tejaswini from Bapatla, whose marks rose from 23 to 96. Similar discrepancies were seen in Intermediate results, such as Rajeshwari from Vijayawada, who was initially given just 5 marks in English but later received 95. Despite having rules in place to address evaluation errors, enforcement appears lacking, leading to growing criticism from students and parents.
