
Amaravati, April 10, 2025 – The Andhra Pradesh government has entrusted the development of Orvakal and Kopparthy industrial nodes to the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (APIDC). These nodes, part of the Hyderabad-Bengaluru and Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridors respectively, will be developed by APICDC, a subsidiary of APIIC, handling design, construction, testing, and maintenance.
The government approved ₹1,771 crore for Orvakal and ₹1,264 crore for Kopparthy under the EPC model, with a 5% tender premium concession for APICDC. These greenfield projects will follow international standards under the “Plug and Play” and “Walk to Work” concepts. The plans were framed in line with decisions by the NICDIT board, and formal orders were issued by Infrastructure Secretary N. Yuvaraj.
