AP Govt Confirms Public Exams for First-Year Intermediate Students to Continue

Amaravati, January 30, 2025: The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to continue conducting public exams for first-year Intermediate students from the next academic year, based on suggestions received regarding proposed reforms in the education system. The government will follow the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) syllabus and implement changes in the exam structure, but the public exam system for first-year students will remain unchanged.

In response to feedback, the government will not implement the internal marks system. Mathematics will have a combined paper instead of separate A and B papers, while Biology will merge botany and zoology into one paper. English will be mandatory for language subjects, with another language subject as an elective choice for students. The Intermediate Board will finalize these changes in an upcoming meeting.
