AP Agriculture Budget 2024: The Andhra Pradesh Assembly sessions have begun. Minister Achchennaidu presented the agriculture budget of ₹43,402.33 crore in the Assembly. ₹38.88 crore has been allocated for land survey tests, ₹240 crore for seed distribution, ₹40 crore for fertilizer supply, ₹11.31 crore for farm outreach, and ₹422.96 crore for organic farming. Digital agriculture has been allocated ₹44.77 crore, ₹187.68 crore for agricultural mechanization, ₹628 crore for interest-free loans, ₹4,500 crore for the “Annadata Sukhibhava” scheme, and ₹26.92 crore for farmer service centers.
₹44.03 crore has been allocated for integrated agricultural labs, and ₹1,023 crore for crop insurance. The agriculture department has been allocated ₹8,564.37 crore, the horticulture department ₹3,469.47 crore, the sericulture industry ₹108.44 crore, agriculture marketing ₹314.80 crore, the cooperative department ₹308.26 crore, organic farming ₹422.96 crore, digital agriculture ₹44.77 crore, agricultural mechanization ₹187.68 crore, interest-free loans ₹628 crore, and ₹4,500 crore for the “Annadata Sukhibhava” scheme.
The farmer service centers have received ₹26.92 crore, integrated agricultural labs ₹44.03 crore, and crop insurance ₹1,023 crore. The NG Ranga University has been allocated ₹507.038 crore, Horticulture University ₹102.227 crore, Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University ₹171.72 crore, Fisheries University ₹38 crore, Animal Husbandry Department ₹1,095.71 crore, Fisheries sector development ₹521.34 crore, free agricultural electricity ₹7,241.30 crore, NREGA integration ₹5,150 crore, NTR Jalashiri ₹50 crore, and ₹14,637.03 crore for the maintenance of irrigation projects.
₹2.94 Lakh Crore Budget: Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav presented the state budget of ₹2.94 lakh crore for the financial year 2024-2025. The estimated revenue expenditure is ₹2.34 lakh crore, and capital expenditure is estimated at ₹32,712 crore. Payyavula Keshav mentioned in his budget speech that substantial funds are being allocated for various key sectors.
