Amaravati, January 27, 2025: The Andhra Pradesh government has taken significant steps to reduce the burden of electricity charges on the people. Under the centrally sponsored PM Solar Ghar Yojana, the government is working to connect every household to solar power. With over a million DWCRA women across the state, the government plans to expand the initiative through them, gradually covering a large portion of households.
As part of the first phase, the government aims to install solar rooftops in the homes of one lakh DWCRA women. This initiative is expected to contribute significantly to reducing electricity costs and promoting sustainable energy usage across the state.
