Visakhapatnam, January 8, 2025: IT Minister Nara Lokesh announced plans to set up a Data City in Visakhapatnam, aiming to make it a global landmark as part of the “Swarna Andhra Vision.” He emphasized the goal of transforming Andhra Pradesh into a digital hub during the AP Digital Technology Summit, where he was the chief guest.
Lokesh highlighted the pivotal role of IT in the state’s development, noting that projects worth ₹2 lakh crore have been awarded to Andhra Pradesh by Prime Minister Modi. He also mentioned the transformative impact of industries like Kia on Rayalaseema and discussed the use of drone technology in relief efforts.
