Amaravati, February 27, 2025 – Polling for three MLC seats in Andhra Pradesh is progressing peacefully across Krishna-Guntur, East & West Godavari, and North Andhra regions. Elections are being held for two graduate MLC seats and one teachers’ MLC seat, with officials closely monitoring the process. The polling will continue until 4 PM, and counting is set for March 3.
In Krishna-Guntur, 25 candidates are contesting, while 35 candidates are in the fray for the East-West Godavari seat. The North Andhra teachers’ MLC election has 10 candidates, including sitting MLCs seeking re-election. Over 6.6 lakh voters are eligible across the three constituencies, with extensive security and monitoring arrangements in place to ensure a smooth election process.
