New Delhi, December 24, 2024: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has called for the creation of a data-rich platform to aid investigation officers in their work. Speaking at a review meeting with the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), Shah emphasized the need for a comprehensive digital infrastructure that can provide accurate, timely, and relevant data to law enforcement agencies across India.
The platform, according to Shah, should include real-time access to crime data, criminal records, and other crucial information, enabling investigation officers to make informed decisions quickly. He also highlighted the importance of integrating the NCRB’s existing database with other law enforcement networks to enhance coordination and efficiency in investigations.
Shah further urged the NCRB to focus on modernizing its data collection and analysis systems to ensure that investigation officers have the necessary tools to combat crime more effectively. This initiative is part of the government’s broader effort to strengthen India’s law enforcement capabilities through technology and data-driven solutions.
