New Delhi, December 24, 2024: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is set to inaugurate 10,000 newly-formed Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), dairy, and fisheries cooperative societies. This initiative is part of the government’s vision to strengthen the rural economy by empowering agricultural communities and promoting sustainable development in villages.
These cooperative societies aim to enhance agricultural credit, improve dairy production, and boost fisheries activities, providing significant employment opportunities in rural areas. By enabling better access to financial resources, modern infrastructure, and market linkages, the initiative is expected to foster self-reliance and improve the livelihoods of farmers and entrepreneurs in the countryside.
The launch underscores the government’s commitment to inclusive economic growth through the cooperative sector. With these societies serving as key drivers of rural development, the initiative will play a crucial role in ensuring equitable economic benefits and achieving the larger goal of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).
