
New Delhi, December 16, 2024: Home Minister Amit Shah has commended the Chhattisgarh government for its proactive measures against Naxalite insurgents in the state. Speaking at a press conference, Shah praised the state’s efforts in curbing the Naxal threat and emphasized the importance of the ongoing operations aimed at restoring peace in the region.
Shah highlighted the coordinated efforts between the state government and central agencies in combating Naxalism, noting the significant progress made in reducing violence and neutralizing Naxalite activities. He acknowledged the bravery and determination of security forces involved in the operations, which have led to the capture of key Naxal leaders and the dismantling of several Naxal networks.
The Home Minister also reiterated the government’s commitment to providing all necessary resources and support to the Chhattisgarh government in its fight against insurgency. Shah’s remarks come amid ongoing efforts to address the security challenges posed by Naxalite groups in central India. He encouraged state governments to continue working with central authorities to ensure lasting peace and development in affected areas.
