    Amit Shah Inaugurates ₹3.5 Crore Sports Complex in Gota Ward, Ahmedabad

    Gandhinagar, January 24, 2025: Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated a newly constructed sports complex in Gota Ward, Ahmedabad, developed by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation at a cost of ₹3.50 crore. The event was attended by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Home and Sports Minister Harsh Sanghavi. After unveiling the plaque, the dignitaries toured the complex and received a presentation on the upcoming Iconic Road project planned by the municipal corporation, as well as a proposed solution to ease traffic congestion near Palladium Mall.

    The sports complex features facilities for table tennis, box cricket, basketball, pickleball, volleyball, and various indoor games such as snooker, chess, ludo, and carrom. Earlier, Shah inaugurated and laid the foundation for 37 public welfare projects worth ₹651 crore in Ahmedabad. Addressing the gathering, he paid tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary, highlighting his role in India’s independence movement and reminding the audience of his historic slogans.
