Giridih: Union Home Minister Amit Shah strongly criticized the Hemant Soren-led government, alleging that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) was mired in corruption. He stated that if the BJP came to power, they would remove the infiltrators from the state and introduce a law to return the encroached lands of tribals. Addressing an election campaign in Giridih, Shah said, “The Hemant Soren government has not allowed the implementation of PM Modi’s schemes due to corruption. We will ensure the establishment of industries in Jharkhand, so that laborers do not have to go to other states for work. Hemant Soren is not concerned with building industries or creating electricity in Jharkhand. Despite having mines of aluminum and iron ore, he is not focused on manufacturing them here. His only concern is allowing infiltrators to enter Jharkhand.”
Shah further alleged that these infiltrators marry innocent locals and encroach on their lands. “These infiltrators enter Jharkhand, marry innocent local girls multiple times, and encroach on their lands. We will throw out these infiltrators who have encroached on the lands of tribal women. We will bring a law that will ensure these encroached lands are returned to the tribals,” said the Home Minister.
He also criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, stating, “The Congress wants to bring back Article 370. Even four generations of Rahul Gandhi cannot bring back Article 370. Kashmir belongs to India. They ruled for 10 years, during which terrorists from Pakistan carried out regular attacks. PM Modi conducted surgical strikes and airstrikes to eliminate the terrorists. The people of Jharkhand have suffered from Naxalism for years, but PM Modi has removed Naxalism from Jharkhand in the last 10 years. Naxalism will end in Chhattisgarh before March 31, 2026. The JMM-Congress alliance has been wiped out in the first phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections.”
Shah also spoke about the Waqf Bill, stating that the NDA government would bring an amendment despite opposition. He alleged that the Waqf Board in Karnataka had declared villages under the property of Waqf, including centuries-old temples, lands, and farmers’ houses. “We will bring an amendment to the Waqf Bill, but Rahul Gandhi and Hemant Soren are opposing it,” he said. Elections for the remaining 38 seats will take place on November 20, and the vote counting will occur on November 23.
