Vijayawada, March 7, 2025: Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav announced that CM N. Chandrababu Naidu has approved a ₹100 crore Yoga and Naturopathy Research Centre in Amaravati. Initially sanctioned in 2018 with 25 acres in Kondapavuluru, Gannavaram, the project was repurposed by the previous YSRCP government. Yadav criticized this move and confirmed that proposals have been sent for approval.
He also credited PM Modi’s AYUSH initiatives while accusing the YSRCP of neglecting the sector, causing dispensary closures. The coalition government has since filled 40% of vacant posts, secured ₹28 crore in three months, and plans AYUSH hospitals in Kakinada and Visakhapatnam. Additionally, 126 dispensaries have been revived as Ayushman Arogya Mandirs.
