Hyderabad, December 13, 2024: Telugu film star Allu Arjun has been granted interim bail in the ongoing investigation into the stampede incident during the promotions of his much-awaited movie Pushpa 2. The incident, which occurred during a promotional event in the city, resulted in several injuries among the crowd, sparking controversy and raising concerns about crowd management at public events.
Arjun, who was not directly involved in the incident but was a key figure at the promotional event, was named in the case following allegations that the event’s chaotic nature contributed to the stampede. The actor’s legal team applied for interim bail, arguing that Arjun was not responsible for the mishap, and the court accepted the plea, granting him temporary relief.
The stampede had created a stir, with local authorities launching an investigation into the safety measures and event organization. Arjun, who expressed regret over the incident, is cooperating with the authorities to ensure that such an event does not occur again.
