This move comes as part of the telecom company’s effort to enhance user safety and combat rising cases of fraud and phishing through unsolicited international communications.
The alerts will be sent in languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, and others, ensuring that users across India understand the warnings clearly. Airtel stated that it is using advanced AI-based filtering systems to identify and flag suspicious messages and calls in real-time, aiming to safeguard customer privacy and security more effectively.
