Tirupati, February 18: Actor Manchu Manoj accused the police of harassment and invasion of privacy after visiting the Bhakarapet police station on Monday night. He claimed that he and his staff were questioned at a hotel on Kunnam Road and that an SI behaved rudely towards him. Manoj alleged that the police summoned his staff to the station, prompting him to visit the police station, where he stayed for about two hours to express his displeasure.
In response, Bhakarapet CI Imran Basha explained that the police were conducting routine patrols and questioned Manoj’s staff due to the crowd outside the hotel. He clarified that they did not interrogate or arrest Manoj, who voluntarily went to the police station. After the two-hour visit, Manoj returned to his hotel.
