New Delhi, January 7 – Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman concluded month-long consultations with over 100 stakeholders, including representatives from farmers’ associations, trade unions, and various sectors such as education, health, MSMEs, and industry. The consultations, which began on December 6, 2024, focused on gathering inputs for the Union Budget 2025-26. Sitharaman assured participants that their suggestions would be carefully considered during the budget preparation.
From January 10, 2025, citizens can share their suggestions for the budget on the MyGov platform. Sitharaman encouraged active participation, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity in the budget-making process, in line with the ‘Jan Bhagidari’ spirit.
