New Delhi, January 6, 2025 – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of indulging in corruption following the release of a report by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG). According to the CAG report, the construction cost of the luxurious ‘Sheesh Mahal’ was found to be significantly higher than originally reported, amounting to Rs 75-80 crore, much more than the previously stated figures.
The BJP has demanded an investigation into the inflated costs, alleging that the “black deeds” of Kejriwal’s government are exposed through the report. The opposition party has raised concerns about the misallocation of public funds, claiming that the project was an extravagant misuse of taxpayer money. The controversy over the construction of the ‘Sheesh Mahal,’ a lavish government building, has become a major political issue, with BJP accusing Kejriwal of focusing on personal luxury projects instead of addressing public welfare.
