New Delhi, January 4, 2025: In a sharp critique of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Union Home Minister Amit Shah accused him of using public funds to build a “Sheesh Mahal” for himself. Shah alleged that the money of Delhi’s residents was being misused to fund extravagant and unnecessary projects while the city continues to face several pressing issues.
Addressing a rally, Amit Shah accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of diverting resources meant for public welfare to personal and political gain. He questioned the priorities of Kejriwal’s administration, emphasizing that basic infrastructure and services like education, healthcare, and sanitation should have been the focus instead of indulging in luxurious projects.
The remarks come amidst growing political tensions between the ruling AAP in Delhi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), with both parties accusing each other of poor governance and mismanagement. Kejriwal’s supporters, however, have defended the government’s initiatives, claiming that several reforms have been made for the welfare of the people.
