Prayagraj, January 4, 2025: In preparation for the upcoming Mahakumbh Mela, security forces conducted a comprehensive mock drill at the event site to ensure safety and smooth operations. The drill involved various security agencies, including local police, paramilitary forces, and disaster management teams, simulating potential emergency situations to assess the response capabilities of all personnel involved.
Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) assured the public of “complete security arrangements” for the massive religious congregation, emphasizing that all necessary measures would be in place to guarantee the safety of the millions of devotees expected to attend. The DGP highlighted that specialized units would be deployed throughout the Mela area, including surveillance technologies and quick-response teams, to handle any unforeseen situations efficiently.
