Krishna District, December 30, 2024 – Former YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Minister Perni Nani’s wife, Jayasudha, has once again been issued notices by Krishna District Joint Collector Geethanjali Sharma in connection with the ration rice scam. The authorities recently initiated a preliminary investigation into the missing rice from a godown and initially discovered a shortfall of 185 metric tons of ration rice. For this, Jayasudha had already paid a fine of Rs. 1.68 crore.
However, after a thorough investigation, officials have now revealed that the total shortage of rice amounted to 378 metric tons. As a result, the authorities have issued another notice, directing Jayasudha to pay a further fine for the increased shortfall. The notice, issued by Geethanjali Sharma, demands an additional Rs. 1.67 crore as a penalty for the additional shortage.
This ongoing investigation highlights the serious nature of the scam, and the authorities are continuing to hold Jayasudha accountable for the missing ration rice. The case has drawn significant attention as it raises concerns over the management and allocation of public resources in the region.
