Amaravati, December 30, 2024 – In light of the upcoming New Year celebrations, the Director General of Police (DGP) of Andhra Pradesh has issued stringent security measures and restrictions across the state. The move comes in response to concerns about crowd control, safety, and the prevention of any untoward incidents during the festive period.
The DGP has directed local authorities to ensure heightened vigilance in crowded areas such as public squares, major event venues, and recreational spots. Special police teams will be deployed to maintain law and order, and strict action will be taken against any violations, particularly in relation to traffic and public safety. Additionally, measures have been put in place to regulate the sale and consumption of alcohol, as well as the use of fireworks.
