    RSS Chief Pushes for Historical Reforms, Accuses British of Misleading Generations

    Nagpur, December 27, 2024: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat has criticized the British colonial rulers for distorting India’s history and spreading misinformation to weaken the country’s cultural identity. Speaking at a public event, Bhagwat stated, “The British covered up the truth and filled the minds of the people of our country with many lies.” He stressed that these distortions were part of a deliberate effort to divide and rule India during the colonial era.

    Bhagwat called for a renewed focus on uncovering and promoting India’s historical truths, urging citizens to reject the colonial narratives that have persisted post-independence. He emphasized the importance of fostering cultural pride and educating the youth about India’s authentic history, free from external influences.

    The RSS Chief’s remarks come at a time when discussions on revising historical narratives and decolonizing India’s education system are gaining momentum. Bhagwat reiterated the need to protect the country’s heritage and uphold its civilizational values against misrepresentations.
