Pilibhit, December 23, 2024: Punjab’s Director General of Police (DGP) confirmed the neutralization of two ISI-backed Khalistani terrorists in an encounter in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh. The operation was carried out by Punjab Police and Uttar Pradesh Police, following intelligence reports about the presence of the terrorists in the region.
According to DGP, the terrorists were involved in planning attacks against Indian security forces and had strong ties with terrorist organizations backed by Pakistan’s ISI. The encounter took place after the security forces, acting on a tip-off, surrounded the suspected hideout of the terrorists in the forests of Pilibhit.
A brief exchange of fire ensued, resulting in the death of both terrorists. The police seized arms, ammunition, and explosives from the scene, confirming their links to terrorist activities. The DGP praised the coordination between the police forces of Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, calling it a major success in curbing Khalistani terrorism in the region.
