New Delhi, December 23, 2024: Two BJP MPs, who were allegedly assaulted by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during a heated altercation in Parliament, have been discharged from a Delhi hospital. The incident occurred during a contentious debate in the Lok Sabha, leading to an uproar among party members and widespread condemnation from BJP leaders.
The MPs, whose injuries were described as minor, had been admitted to the hospital for medical evaluation and treatment following the scuffle. Doctors confirmed their discharge after ensuring they were in stable condition.
Meanwhile, BJP leaders have demanded strict action against Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of violating parliamentary decorum and resorting to physical aggression. Congress, however, has denied the allegations, claiming the incident was exaggerated for political gain.
The Speaker of the Lok Sabha has initiated an inquiry into the matter and has called for a detailed report from both parties involved. The incident has further escalated tensions between the BJP and Congress, intensifying the ongoing political rivalry ahead of the 2024 general elections.
