Kolkata, December 21, 2024: ISKCON Kolkata has raised an alarm over the rising number of cases targeting Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. The organization, along with various human rights groups, has pointed out that over 2200 cases of violence, discrimination, and oppression have been reported against Hindus in Bangladesh, many of which have gone unnoticed or unaddressed by local authorities.
ISKCON Kolkata, a prominent religious and cultural organization, condemned the attacks, highlighting the threat to the safety and dignity of the Hindu community in the neighboring country. The organization urged both the Bangladesh government and international human rights bodies to take immediate action to address these issues and protect the rights of the minority Hindu population.
The situation has raised concerns globally, with calls for greater awareness and diplomatic intervention to stop the persecution of religious minorities. ISKCON Kolkata has vowed to continue its advocacy for the protection of Hindus and other vulnerable groups facing similar threats in Bangladesh.
