New Delhi, December 21, 2024: Union Minister of State (MoS) for the Ministry of External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, made a significant statement regarding the rise in violence against minorities, particularly Hindus, in neighboring countries. According to Singh, Bangladesh has reported a shocking 2,200 cases of violence against its minority communities, including Hindus. Meanwhile, Pakistan has reported 112 such cases.
The Minister’s comments came during a press conference where he condemned the rising tide of religious violence and emphasized the government’s concern over the safety and protection of minority groups in both countries. Singh reiterated India’s commitment to protecting the rights of minorities globally and called for international pressure to address such issues.
These remarks come amidst growing concerns over religious intolerance in South Asia, particularly with regard to the Hindu community. The Ministry has called for increased diplomatic efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of these communities.
