Ashwin is among the greatest Test bowlers of all time with 516 wickets while having an incredible record with the bat with 20 50+ scores (6 centuries).

In his career, Ashwin has 516 wickets, which include 36 occasions of him taking five or more wickets in an innings. He is only one short of equaling Shane Warne’s tally (37). Muttiah Muralitharan leads the list with 67 five-wicket hauls to his name.

    Among players with more than 30 five-wicket hauls to his name, Richard Hadlee was closest to the milestone with 17 50+ scores (15 centuries, 2 half-centuries) while Warne had 12 fifties too.

    Among players with more than 20 five-wicket hauls; Ian Botham (36), Kapil Dev (35), and Imran Khan (24) all have more than 20+ fifty plus scores in their name but neither completed 30 five-wicket hauls. Botham was the closest with 27 five-wicket hauls in his career while Kapil and Imran had 23 each.
