Visakhapatnam, December 7, 2024: I had the privilege of participating alongside Honorable Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu in the Deep Tech Conclave – 2024, held in Visakhapatnam under the auspices of the Global Forum for Sustainable Transformation. It was an inspiring experience to be part of this event, which plays a significant role in driving progress for our state.
Deep technology has the power to transform healthcare services and uplift the lives of the underprivileged. Health is not just a personal matter; it is vital for the well-being of the state and the nation. Studies have shown that public health has a direct impact on economic growth. For instance, a survey conducted across 13 developed countries revealed that a 1% improvement in an individual’s lifetime health results in a 6% boost in GDP and a 5% increase in per capita income. This underscores the importance of prioritizing public healthcare.
As we aim for a developed India and a golden Andhra Pradesh by 2047, it is essential to adopt a new health mission. Affordable and accessible healthcare services must become a reality for everyone. A healthy population contributes directly to wealth creation, and modern technology can address many challenges in the healthcare sector.
Andhra Pradesh is well-prepared to embrace deep technology. We already have comprehensive data on diseases and their patterns. By integrating this information with advanced technology, we can develop solutions that reduce the financial burden of medical expenses on ordinary citizens. Our state is rich in talented youth, and we must encourage them to focus on deep tech and healthcare innovations.
Our government is committed to supporting investors and innovators at every step. I urge Honorable Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu to form a committee to draft policies that attract investments in the healthcare sector. Such initiatives will pave the way for more young innovators to come forward, helping us realize the vision of a golden Andhra Pradesh.
Under the visionary leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Honorable Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, India is on track to become a developed nation, and Andhra Pradesh will achieve its goal of becoming a golden state by 2047. Deep technology will undoubtedly play a critical role in this transformative journey.
