Ranchi, November 28, 2024: Ahead of Hemant Soren’s swearing-in as Jharkhand’s Chief Minister on November 28, BJP leader Pratul Shah Deo shared his hopes that the new government would take lessons from the controversies and challenges of Soren’s previous tenure. Shah Deo specifically referenced allegations of corruption and scams that plagued Soren’s last term, noting that key figures, such as Alamgir Alam, had been implicated. He stressed that Soren should reflect on these issues to ensure that such mistakes are not repeated in the current administration.
Shah Deo also extended his well wishes to the newly re-elected CM while making it clear that the BJP would continue to act as a vigilant opposition. He emphasized that while the BJP would support Soren in his efforts to develop Jharkhand, it would remain a critical watchdog on matters of corruption and transparency. The BJP leader indicated that any lapses in governance or accountability would not go unnoticed.
Commenting on the future, Shah Deo acknowledged the significance of Soren’s mandate and urged the Chief Minister to prioritize the development of Jharkhand, which has struggled with growth and infrastructure improvements in the past. The BJP leader expressed hope that the new government would address the state’s pressing developmental needs, marking a shift toward progress in the coming years.
Despite the challenges from the previous tenure, Shah Deo noted that the BJP’s support for the state’s progress would be contingent on Soren’s ability to deliver on his promises and demonstrate good governance. This stance reflects the party’s broader political strategy to support effective leadership while holding the government accountable.
