CM Eknath Shinde Confident of MahaYuti’s “Thumping Majority” in Maharashtra Elections

MUMBAI: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has expressed strong optimism about the upcoming state assembly elections, predicting a “thumping majority” for the ruling MahaYuti coalition. The elections are scheduled for November 20, and Shinde is confident that voters will back the government’s development-centric agenda. He highlighted welfare initiatives such as the ‘Ladki Bahin Yojana,’ a scheme providing financial aid to poor women, as key factors that will garner voter support.

Shinde compared the anticipated outcome in Maharashtra to the recent electoral success of the BJP in Haryana, where development policies and welfare schemes led to a decisive win. He attributed the success to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the effective implementation of policies aimed at uplifting marginalized sections of society.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the government’s focus was on continued development, not on post-election leadership discussions. Shinde dismissed the opposition’s criticism, asserting that MahaYuti’s governance has been inclusive, benefiting all communities without creating divisions. His statements reflect a strong belief that the coalition’s focus on progress will resonate with the electorate.

Furthermore, Shinde maintained that the focus of the election is to continue the work of improving Maharashtra’s socio-economic fabric, rather than engaging in political rivalry. He urged voters to recognize the coalition’s track record in governance and its commitment to the welfare of all.
