Trump Taps Millennial Allies for Key Roles in 2025 Administration

Washington: US President-elect Donald Trump prepares for his return to the White House in January 2025, he has begun assembling a team for his upcoming administration, with many of his picks being Millennials. In a move that signals a generational shift, Trump is focusing on bringing fresh faces to key positions, tapping loyal allies and supporters from his 2024 campaign. Among his selections are individuals who not only align with his political vision but also represent a younger, dynamic leadership.

Prominent figures named to key roles include Vivek Ramaswamy, Elise Stefanik, JD Vance, Matt Gaetz, and Tulsi Gabbard. Ramaswamy, at 39, has been appointed to co-lead the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Trump has tasked Ramaswamy and Tesla CEO Elon Musk with streamlining the federal government, reducing waste, and eliminating unnecessary regulations. Trump praised Ramaswamy as an “American Patriot” and Musk as “the Great Elon Musk,” signaling their importance in the administration’s bureaucratic reforms.

Elise Stefanik, 40, will represent the United States at the United Nations, a role that will see her handling crucial global issues, including the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Israel. Known for her leadership within the GOP and her outspoken stance on antisemitism, Stefanik’s new position elevates her prominence within both the party and on the global stage. Meanwhile, JD Vance, the 40-year-old author of “Hillbilly Elegy,” has been selected as Trump’s vice president, making him the third-youngest person to hold the office in US history, despite previously criticizing Trump in the past.

Other notable picks include Tulsi Gabbard, 43, who is set to serve as the US Intelligence Chief. A former congresswoman and lieutenant colonel in the US Army Reserve, Gabbard’s military experience and foreign policy expertise will be crucial in shaping US intelligence strategies. Additionally, Matt Gaetz, the 42-year-old Florida representative, has been chosen as the Attorney General. Trump emphasized that Gaetz would work to dismantle the “Weaponization of our Justice System” and restore public trust in the Department of Justice. If confirmed, Gaetz would oversee the nation’s top law enforcement agency, setting the stage for a potentially contentious confirmation process.
