New Delhi: After Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang established a presence in Delhi, the rival Bambiha gang demonstrated its force by opening fire outside a businessman’s residence in the Rani Bagh area. Two assailants on a motorcycle fired six to seven rounds into the air before fleeing the scene. A note was left behind naming Kaushal Chaudhary and Power Shaukeen, significant figures in the Bambiha gang, but no extortion demands were reported.
The incident prompted a thorough investigation by local police, with DCP Sachin Sharma stating that a case has been registered and efforts are ongoing to identify the culprits. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, as investigators continue to gather evidence from the crime scene.
Kaushal Chaudhary, the gang’s current leader, is incarcerated in Bhondsi jail in Gurgaon and faces over 40 criminal charges. Despite the violent display, authorities have not received any extortion calls connected to the incident, indicating a possible shift in the gang’s operational tactics.
The Bambiha gang is known to be a major rival of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has been involved in numerous violent confrontations over extortion and control over the Punjab music industry. Recent months have seen a troubling rise in firing incidents linked to gang activity in Delhi, including several high-profile shootouts associated with extortion attempts.
