Tirupati: Several hotels in Tirupati received bomb threat emails mentioning Jaffer Sadiq, an alleged kingpin of a drug trafficking network recently arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
The threats were sent to four hotels, including three located within the city and one in the Tiruchanur area, warning that a bomb had been placed in the establishments and would detonate soon. In response to the complaints from hotel management, police launched a search operation.
Police personnel, along with sniffer dogs, conducted thorough searches of the hotels and confirmed that no explosives were found. The threats were ultimately determined to be a hoax.
An investigation is currently underway to identify the person behind the threatening emails.
