They are crucial in the US presidential elections – Full support for Kamala!

US Elections 2024 Voters: Asian American voters are set to play a significant role in the upcoming US presidential elections. Studies indicate that Asian Americans could greatly influence the success of the candidates. This year, American voters with origins in India, China, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines, and other Asian countries have become crucial. Several studies suggest that Asian American votes, which were instrumental in the victory of current President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential elections, will again be a deciding factor. Surveys indicate that a majority of Asian American voters are supporting Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris. On the other hand, Republican candidate Donald Trump is trailing in garnering support from Asian Americans. Many Asian American voters believe that Trump’s policies primarily benefit the wealthy.

A survey conducted by AAPI revealed that 66% of Asian American voters have expressed their support for Kamala Harris, while 28% support Trump, and another 6% remain undecided. In a survey conducted in April-May, when current President Joe Biden was still in the race as a candidate, 46% of Asian Americans supported the Democratic Party. However, this support increased to 66% after Kamala Harris was confirmed as the Democratic candidate.

The survey also highlighted that six out of ten registered voters leaned towards Kamala, while only three stated that they would vote for Trump. Approximately two-thirds of voters are opposed to Trump. Additionally, Democratic Vice Presidential candidate and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is reportedly more popular than Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance. According to a study by the Pew Research Center, the number of Asian American voters in the US has increased significantly over the past two decades. It noted that the Asian American voter population in the US has grown by 15% in the past four years. In the 2020 US elections, 72% of these voters supported Joe Biden, while 28% cast their votes for Donald Trump.
