AP Govt Takes Special Steps for Araku Valley: The government is taking extensive measures to bring the beauty of Araku Valley closer to tourists. Along with the construction of guest houses, it is enhancing the natural beauty of the area. Adventure facilities like hot air ballooning and paramotor gliding are being made available.
The government is working to further beautify Araku Valley, known for its natural beauty. As part of the central government’s ‘PRASAD’ scheme, it is paving new paths for the development of the Araku area. To attract more visitors, the Paderu ITDA is initiating special projects. Repairs for tourist guest houses have been undertaken with a budget of 30 crore rupees. More vacation homes are being prepared for visitors. New tree huts have been constructed under the ITDA in the Padmapuram Garden. The tree huts are beautifully illuminated among the lush flowering plants. A water fountain made from naturally occurring rocks is attracting tourists significantly.
For tourists looking to have adventurous experiences, a hot air balloon will be made available in the Padmapuram Garden. Trial runs are being conducted for this. Paramotor gliding is also being introduced in the New Valsa Garden. Tourists will have the opportunity to soar into the sky and view the beauty of Araku Valley from great heights.

In the New Valsa exhibition area, efforts are being made to cultivate around 100 varieties of medicinal plants for tourists to familiarize themselves with. Arrangements are being made to light up the Padmapuram Garden with electric lights along with the Tribal Museum. Additionally, under the supervision of the Forest Department, an Araku Primary facility has been established near Skisfarm. Visitors are enjoying taking selfies among the pine trees here. They are relishing the natural beauty through photoshoots.
The ITDA Tourism Department is taking steps to establish a tourist corridor from Araku Valley to Lambasingi, bringing new delights to visitors. The Giri Gramadarshini near Araku is another significant attraction. It is organizing exhibitions reflecting tribal traditions. Facilities are being provided for marriages while adhering to tribal customs and attire.
