It has been revealed during the police interrogation that rowdy sheeter Borugadda Anil Kumar admitted to making offensive remarks against opposition leaders because he was encouraged by some, believing he had a promising political future. During the YSRCP regime, Anil indulged in verbal abuse, disorderly conduct, and illegal activities, but he went into hiding after the election results. Anil was arrested two days ago in a case where he allegedly threatened Karlapudi Babu Prakash and demanded Rs. 50 lakh in 2021. Arundalpet DSP Jayaram Prasad, Pattabhipuram CI Veerendrababu, and Arundalpet CI Srinivasa Rao interrogated Anil Kumar for over two hours.

When questioned by Guntur police, Anil was asked why he engaged in illegal activities during the YSRCP regime, why he used obscene language against opposition leaders and women, where he went after the election results, and who provided him shelter. Anil reportedly admitted that he acted in such a way due to pressure and encouragement from some YSRCP leaders. He said he believed in certain promises and acted aggressively. He also expressed regret, stating he would not repeat such mistakes in the future. Despite being repeatedly asked who exactly encouraged him, he did not give a clear answer. Anil mentioned that he was led to believe by a YSRCP district president that he had a bright future, but now that the leader has switched parties, no one is supporting him.

Guntur District SP Satish Kumar shared details of Borugadda Anil’s arrest with the media, revealing that there are a total of 17 cases against him. Anil has been sent to Rajamahendravaram Central Jail for remand purposes. The SP warned that criminal cases would be filed against anyone who posts or makes comments on social media that damage someone’s personal reputation and dignity.
