    BREAKING: Helicopter Crash Kills 6, Injures 8 In Northwest Pakistan; Investigation Underway

    Peshawar: A helicopter crash due to engine failure killed six people in Pakistan ‘s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province near the Afghan border, officials reported on Saturday.

    The crash occurred in North Waziristan district of the province.

    There were 14 people on board. The chartered helicopter, belonging to an oil field company, crashed soon after takeoff due to a technical fault, officials said.

    As many as six people were killed, and eight were injured in the helicopter crash. The helicopter belonged to Mari Petroleum Company.

    Among the injured, three foreign pilots were from Russia, who have been shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Thal.

    Officials have ruled out any possibility of terrorism, sources added.

    Meanwhile, an investigation has been initiated into the unfortunate incident.

    Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Faisal Karim Kundi, expressed condolences over the tragic incident and has requested a report from the concerned authorities regarding the crash.
